When Enroflon is recommended for chickens

poultry farming is a popular agricultural industry in our area. It is a source of meat and eggs, fluff and feathers. If you want to grow up healthy and productive offspring, you need to provide birds with a comfortable existence, an adequate diet and wellness preventive measures. Enroflon for chickens and chickens is a reliable way to prevent and cure bird diseases caused by the action of microbes and bacteria on the body. When is Enroflon recommended for chickens?

Prevention and treatment of avian diseases

Mechanism of action

The yellow liquid has a cloudy tint. The fourth level of security, i.e. it is practically harmless to humans. The active component of the drug is enrofloxacin, which contributes to the antibacterial and anti-mycoplasma mechanical effect on the vital system. Enrofloxacin retardation of the enzymatic reaction to bacterial cell genetics blocks the development of virus resistance to Enroflon.

Colistin sulfate blocks the spread of microbes in the body, their defense system is weakened and they can no longer harm the chicken body. Absorbed through the stomach, the drug enters other cells, has an effect 1.5 hours after ingestion. Active for 6 hours - the therapeutic effect lasts a day. From the body of a bird, it is excreted through the urogenital and biliary system without being processed.

Indications for use

Enroflon is an antibiotic based on enrofloxacin (like enrosept), which has antimicrobial and antiviral effects. The medicine is used for the following diseases:

  • salmonellosis of varying severity;
  • mycoplasmosis;
  • colibacillosis;
  • acute intestinal inflammation;
  • bacteria in the genitourinary system;
  • pneumonia and bronchitis;
  • irritation of the nasal mucosa.

Enroflon is used for prevention

For preventive purposes, the drug is used to protect broilers from parasitic beetles, carriers of infections. Enroflon for chickens is given in the first 10 days of life in order to protect against possible viruses and preserve the entire population. Further according to the scheme: from 20 to 25 days, from 35 to 40 days - during periods dangerous for the development of gastric, catarrhal viruses and joint diseases.

Types of dosages and method of application

The instructions for use give standard patterns for the use of medication for broilers. However, in case of serious illness, it is better to consult a veterinarian to prescribe an individual course of treatment.

For preventive measures and for digestive disorders in chickens, Enroflon 5 or 10% solution is used. A five percent or ten percent solution should be given with food or water, although you can use it in its pure form. The main thing is to correctly calculate the dosage in accordance with the advice of a veterinarian. The course of treatment lasts 3-5 days. In the case of an already present infection, the dosage and duration of treatment are doubled. The resulting solution is taken orally.

Every day it is necessary to make a new solution, since on the second day its effectiveness decreases. A liter of liquid should be divided into several doses. During the day, give the bird water with Enroflon, following the instructions. It is important to ensure that during treatment the chicken is not exposed to sunlight: their effect weakens the effect of the drug.

Effects on the body

The fragile health system of chickens is very vulnerable to various infections. What is the beneficial effect of Enroflon on chickens and adults:

  • improving metabolism, effects on the digestive microflora;
  • increase in immune status;
  • saturation of the body with necessary useful substances and minerals;
  • anti-inflammatory therapy for respiratory diseases, reducing the risk of infection;
  • fight against infectious pathologies.

Side effects

If you adhere to the recommended dosage indicated in the instructions for use, side effects are usually not observed. There may be a slight risk of an allergic reaction to an Enroflon component such as fluoroquinolone.

It can give a rash effect or even shortness of breath. In this case, you should stop taking the drug and take a course of antihistamines. A strict adherence to all instructions is necessary, indications for use, as well as dosage, should be taken into account, because enrofloxacin is a potent drug.

The body of each bird, like the human one, has individual characteristics. In what cases and in what situations the use of Enroflon is prohibited:

  • chronic kidney and liver diseases;
  • simultaneous use of antibiotics that inhibit the growth of bacteria, as well as biologically active additives and drugs that reduce blood coagulation;
  • It is forbidden to give a remedy to laying hens, since part of it can get into eggs: if a sick laying hen needs treatment with this medicine, the eggs laid by it should not be eaten and sold.

The use of enrofloxacin at the same time as iron-containing drugs, as well as magnesium, calcium and aluminum, is not welcome. In the case when it is impossible to cancel the treatment, a break of about 3 hours between the two drugs should be observed, otherwise the effectiveness of Enroflon is significantly reduced. The treated poultry meat becomes safe for humans no earlier than 12 days after slaughter. You can give it as an additional feed for animals.

Any disease is easier to prevent than to cure. The price of the antimicrobial agent is quite high, but the goal in this case justifies the costs. Breeders note that when using Enrofloxacin for chickens, meat income exceeded its normal value. This also applies to the preservation of the number of livestock, and weight gain. Caring for the health of poultry, the farmer contributes to the future. Enroflon will help grow healthy offspring if indications for use are taken into account.
