Planting is carried out in loose slightly acidic soil, fertilized with fertilizing. Nutrition and digging a site for planting this crop are carried out in the fall. Sprinkle the soil with organic fertilizer, then dig it.

In each hole contribute 1 tbsp. l fertilizers, then top dressing is mixed with the ground, and seedlings with a peat tablet are placed in a dug hole, watered abundantly, sprinkled with soil and slightly crushed.

The first meal is carried out 14 days after transplanting the sprouts into the open ground. For these purposes, chicken droppings are used: 1 liter of substance is dissolved in 20 liters of water.

The second feeding of red cabbage is carried out after another 2 weeks with the same solution as in the first case.

The last meal is carried out a month before the harvest. Plants are fed with drugs with a high nitrogen content.


The ripeness of the heads and the period when they need to be removed from the garden are determined by their density. If the purple beauty has not become hard, she is not yet ripe. Usually, early varieties are harvested in the first ten days of August for fresh consumption. Cut late varieties for winter consumption is necessary in September.

If the ripe red cabbage became soft, the technology of its cultivation is violated or the plants were affected by some kind of disease.

Vanguard f1

Vanguard f1 is a mid-season variety of purple cabbage, the leaves of which are collected in a vertical rosette. The leaves are large, blue with a greenish tint. There is a slight waxy coating on the surface of the leaves.

In this red cabbage, the heads grow dense, large, weighing up to 2.3-2.5 kg. Taste is high.

Anthracite F1

Like the previous variety, this hybrid bears fruit in large stumps weighing up to 3.5 kg. Leaves of violet color with a wax coating, heads of cabbage are dense, juicy.

Autoro F1
